Burghausen, 29.01.2026: With the new AI chat in SC-Manager, Simmeth System enables users to interact directly with the database via text input – for fast evaluations, maximum transparency and analyses without searching and filtering
With a new AI function, Simmeth System GmbH is expanding SC-Manager, the platform for digital supply chain management, to include a particularly intuitive form of data analysis. In future, users will be able to simply enter questions about their company data in a chat window – similar to familiar AI chat applications. The software then automatically analyzes the database and provides structured evaluations and answers.
The underlying technology is based on conversational AI. It enables users to formulate complex data queries in natural language without having to configure filters, create reports or write database queries.
Instead of searching through data manually, users can ask, for example: “Which suppliers are missing bank details?” or “How many complaints did we have about cable connectors last week?”
The integrated AI assistant in the SC-Manager interprets these text entries, automatically executes the necessary data queries and prepares the results in a structured way – for example as tables, analyses or visualizations.
This form of data analysis opens up new possibilities, particularly in supplier management . Information on suppliers, quality indicators or complaint data can be queried directly without having to create complex reports or evaluations beforehand.
The AI chat also creates significant added value in the area of key figures and reporting in purchasing. Analyses can be carried out directly in dialog with the database without having to sort and filter data manually or combine multiple dashboards.
“Our aim is to make data analysis as easy as possible for our users,” explains Managing Director Alexandra Dirrigl. “With this new function, users can practically chat with their database and receive well-founded answers within seconds.”
The new chat function with the AI chat complements the existing analysis and reporting options of the SC Manager and ensures a significantly lower entry barrier to data analysis. Users gain transparency about their supply chain and purchasing data without having to deal with complex analysis tools.
