Burghausen, 27.5.2024: Simmeth System GmbH optimizes document recognition in its SC-Manager software for supplier management by integrating artificial intelligence.
The SC-Manager software from Simmeth System now uses Microsoft’s innovative artificial intelligence (AI) for automatic document recognition. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) opens up completely new possibilities for users in their daily work with documents of all kinds.
This function reads uploaded documents and automatically transfers the information to the SC-Manager database. This means that users do not have to enter additional data such as names or expiration dates manually. This innovation reduces effort and significantly increases the accuracy and speed of document processing.
The data read from the documents is processed by the SC-Manager Supplier Management automatically, i.e. assigned to specific processes and persons responsible, provided with traffic light values, forwarded to other systems if required and integrated into the automatic e-mail messaging system, for example for warnings before expiry of validity.
Specifically, for example, suppliers can upload their invoices and certificates via the supplier portal. These are read into the database via OCR. The SC-Manager equips them with deadline monitoring and automatically forwards the data to the IT systems of accounting or quality control. This enables seamless integration of supplier processes into the company’s overall workflow and significantly increases efficiency in the daily work process.
